Hello my friends,
Well today has been ok - blessings are that the doctor's visit showed no ecoli for my husband, and things just take time to end - but nothing serious is going on and he should keep taking the antbiotics for a week, so that should help alot. He's starting to feel a bit better tonight - he cut up a chicken and grilled it with barbeque sauce we made last fall out of our tomatoes, it was delcious and he was able to enjoy eating - first time all day. He also made the potatoes on the grill, and I just made a salad and some green beans and we enjoyed a very good supper! Now he's off mowing the lawn. He was not able to go to his brother's this afternoon for a visit with cousin's who came from ND. as he was too sick and needed to rest. It's such a blessing tonight to see him with more energy and more appetite. He lost 14 pounds already since he got sick. He wants to lose some weight but not like this. He doesn't recommend it. Another blessing - Lori's kitty was lost and found! She got out, and was out most of the night, but did finally come home again this afternoon. Do you have any blessings to share? God is good - all the time. He loves us with the greatest LOVE! Prayers for you all.
Move with a gentle spirit, a compassionate heart and a patient disposition
and you will accomplish much more today. Lord, grant me a quiet mind
and the wisdom to move my mountains.
Scripture for the day:
"But I say to you that listen, Love your enemies, do good to those who hate
you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who abuse you. If anyone
strikes you on the cheek, offer the other also; and from anyone who takes
away your coat do not withhold even your shirt. Give to everyone who begs
from you; and if anyone takes away your goods, do not ask for them again. Do
to others as you would have them do to you." ~Luke 6:27-31
Meditation for the day:
We can try saying: "God bless him (or her)" of anyone who is in disharmony
with us. We may also say it of those who are in trouble through their own
fault. We can say it, willing that showers of blessings may fall upon them.
We can let God do the blessing. We can leave to God any necessary
correction or discipline. We can desire only blessing for them. We can
leave God's work to God. We can occupy ourselves with the tasks that God
gives us to do. God's blessing can also break down all our own difficulties
and build up all our successes.
Prayer for the day:
I pray that I may use God's goodness so that it will be a blessing to
others. I pray that I may accept God's blessing so that I will have
harmony, beauty, joy and happiness.

WHO FEELS THE PAIN
By Sally I. Kennedy
“I will be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters,
says the Lord Almighty.” 2 Corinthians 6:18
Last fall held a big step for two people close to me. My daughter had
said, “I don’t know if I can let him go!” And that Tuesday, my 3 yr.
old grandson, Ryan, went to school for the first time. It’s hard to
say who felt the pain of separation more; Adrienne, her first-born, or
Grandma.
It was deja vu for me as I was transported back in time. Our oldest
child, Ben, began morning pre-school at the same age. I suspect the
parent feels the pain more than the child. The youngster is on to new
and exciting adventures, while the parent is left behind in his or her
same routine.
Maybe it’s always easier for the one who moves on than the one who is
left. My friend Ed, a counselor, says you grieve when you lose a
person, place, or thing. It could be just about anything in life,
little or big.
I thought about who was it that felt the pain more when we became
separated from God back in the Garden of Eden? And who grieved the
most? My guess is that it was our Father, God. His pain was unbearable
enough to immediately set about implementing the plan He'd had, since
before the foundation of time, to bring us back into that close former
relationship with Him.
It did finally happen. As all things came together, so long ago, Jesus
became the bridge between us and our heavenly parent. Happy endings
are always good, and there is none better than this one……Easter.
That is definitely good news.
