@AliJoi5 wrote:Hi @brii - I really thought they did as well, but I checked Wiki and couldn't seem to find any info on it. I wonder if anyone else remembers? Well I guess we'll find out soon enough!
I think maybe the person you are thinking about was
John Hurley. He was on the first season in 2005 and lost to Kelly Monaco. Many of his fans thought that Kelly's win was a set-up. They brought him and his partner back for a dance-off with Kelly, and at that time the fans voted that the trophy go to John and his partner.

@J Town Girl, I remember the John Hurley situation.
I'm thinking it was somebody else. Maybe I'm mistaken.

Hi @J Town Girl - Thanks for the info! The funny thing is, I didn't begin watching DWTS until Season 2, so I don't think that's what I was thinking of either. lol I must be having a brain furt!

I'm still not 100% sure Tamar's medical condition is really blood clots. First of all I do not believe TPTB would have let her participate Monday if she'd been diagnosed with pneumonia. (let alone blood clots)
My husband went to the ER and was diagnosed with blood clots in his lungs. It did not take long to diagnose. Why would Tamar have not been diagnosed on her initial visit? Wouldn't she have had a chest x-ray at the very least? Coincidentally her husband had the same medical condition.
It is from an entertainment site but I read this morning Tamar bowed out because she had hit her pay plateau. If she quit without a serious medical condition she would not receive the full amount. It also saves her the "embarrassment of some other gigs where literally no one was paying to come see her."
There are reports she was seen the next day having coffee looking lovely in full make-up, her hair or wig perfect, and fashionably dressed.
Who knows what to believe.

Interesting. Does the DWTS Dr. have to clear (or not) her to dance, or can she can get her own personal Dr. to say her medical condition. Like did Kim Z. own Dr. said she can't fly? Can the stars just get out being on the show? they don't want to be there, etc.

Thanks for the update @Pearlee. It sounds like it will be a good show.
