@catlover  I have not slept well since my first child was born 40 years ago. I moved into a different bedroom about 20 years ago (and I can highly recommend it). Now, I'm up every few hours to go to the bathroom. Books are my friend!

I had to move to my sons old room at the other end of the house because of Dh's snoring, so I feel your pain. I still have to take either 2 advil pms or an ambien to sleep. I didn't use to have any problem sleeping.

As long as I sleep by myself and do not have an early day, I sleep great.  DH travels during the week so I usually have our dog in bed with me.  She seems to wake up around 2:30 a.m. to go out, which really interrupts my sleep.  When DH is home, he likes to stay up late to watch tv and usually falls asleep in his recliner.  He keeps the dog downstairs and I get to sleep in for a full 8-9 hours and it is heavenlyl.

The next time that I hear salt and ice together, it better be in a margarita!

Yeah - sleeping well is one of my many talents!   I do wake up once or twice for "nature's call" - but back in bed - I'm asleep in minutes.

I usually have an afternoon nap.

I sleep so well it's scary.  I've actually read that it's not good to sleep more than 8 hours and I could do 9 or ten easily.

The room has to be cold though.  I always turn the heat off completely on cold nights.  I've seen the room temp at 58*.  That is my sweet spot.  Dh is perfectly fine with that.

I go to sleep on two pillows, but sometime during the night I switch to one.  That is another sweet spot.

I don't like a bright room in the morning, either.

Re: DO YOU SLEEP WELL?

[ Edited ]

No. I hate to go to sleep at night anymore.

Don't want to always rely on p.m. sleep pills.

Now the time change this weekend to deal with.

One answer I found was to chill myself about 2 hours before bed.  Then I turn the heat up just before I go to bed.

I generally get 8 hrs a night. Always have. The only time I get a restless night or more is because hubby is a terrible sleeper.
