I have not had much luck using my French Press. I can't seem to get the ratio of how much coffee to add for the amount of water used, and how long to steep the coffee before pressing.

Would you mind sharing your measurements and method?

Thanks.

I like some of it but it seems to irritate my stomach so I stay away from it.

No, don't like Starbucks at all and it's too expensive to boot.

I like Starbucks.  I was always one of those who said it was too expensive, however, when i get a frap, I only drink one at $5.99.  And I don't have it everyday.  I do worry about the sugar but since I don't have one every day, it's not too bad.  Back to the expense, when people go out for "a beer" or a "glass of wine", i know they are not only having one, so the expense is greater than one frap.

Agree or not, it works for me!  Life is too short not to enjoy an occasional frap.

No; it's kind of strong for me.  I prefer Dunkin.

I don't care for any of the iced coffees; my preference is hot French Vanilla (not sweetened) with cream, no sugar.

i like my coffee strong. that being said, i use one coffee scoop for one average mug of coffee. add the coffee, add the boiled water, and give it a few stirs before adding on the press mechanism. i let it steep no less than 4 minutes before i press. usually it is a bit longer than that.

How much water do you use?

@catlover7777  Eh...not a big Starbucks fan.  I'll take one if it's cold and we're stopping there, I do like their iced teas.  I prefer Dunkin, McDs, WaWa's...basically regular coffee.  The giant desert milkshake sugar coffee doesn't appeal to me much.  If I'm getting coffee (which I need everyday, I'm there for the caffine.  If I'm going to get one of Starbucks drinks I make sure I cut WAY back on anything else I have that day lol.

I drink one large mug of coffee every morning and then I'm done.   I am not drawn to cold coffee, but apparently many will drink coffee hot or cold.

I will get a flavored coffee from there a couple of times a year, but thats about it. I have a Keurig and a Nespresso machine, so not a big need to go to Starbucks that often...Their regular  coffee is too strong for me.
