DMV

Was at the the DMV today getting my license renewed a lady was in line a cpl people ahead of me. I heard the lady telling the DMV lady her wallet had gotten stolen and she needed to replace her driving license. The DMV lady apologized to the lady about her wallet. As the line moved up I heard the lady ask the DMV lady how does illegals get them. The DMV lady told the lady that she need her birth certificate & SS card or passport, so the lady was getting upset cause she had not brought any of the info with her and she was going to have to go home get it and come back.

It did make me wonder do illegals drive around with no license? does the law not apply to them? If they get in an accident or caught at a check point they know nothing will happen to them? I know most don't have car insurance but never thought about them having a driving license.
