We (DH and I ) have been on a 5 week road trip and returned on Friday.  We had the great pleasure and fun of watching our grandson for two weeks as DD and SIL had to go out of town for business.  I will say this, we have not dropped in bed as exhausted as the past two weeks of trying to keep up with a 5 year old.  Excuse me, 5 3/4 as he likes to remind us! Lol

After we left DD's we visited with some friends in PA.  Just like old times, but also bittersweet.  Two of them are not doing well and that was painful to see.  

When we returned home, the house was 89 degrees! There have been some bad monsoon storms in our absence and at some point the a/c breaker got tripped.

Luckily it was an easy fix, but unpacking was miserable.

I haven't had time or opportunity to check in on QVC, and of course no purchases either.  Well, fear not, with free shipping today I bought a couple of things I had my eye on.  However, the day is young and something else might call my name.

it's good to be back!  Hope everyone is doing well.

You were missed!  I'm glad to hear you got to spend time with family, friends and watch your grandson.  I can't imagine how much fun, but also how tiring it must've been lol.

@Pezzie - Welcome back! I'm glad you had such a good time with your family and friends. It's always good to come back home, and I'm glad your AC issue wasn't serious! 

(DS was home for our family vacation. Home is a relative term, as his college roommate visited one day and then he went away with 3 of his high school friends! I got him a few days at least. 

When he got back to his apartment he turned the AC down to 69. He had it at 80 while he was gone. Then he went to get groceries. When he got back the power was out in his whole neighborhood. It was about 113 degrees outside! He's glad he had turned it down before he left because his apartment was hot! The power came back on in the middle of the night.)

@Pezzie  Welcome back, Pezzie   I'm very glad that you got to have an exciting 5 week road trip filled with fun times with your DD, SIL, little grandson and friends.  I'm sorry to hear about the heath struggles of two of your friends- I am sure that it was very rewarding for them to see you and I bet that definitely lifted their spirits.  Welcome back and I'm glad that you got some great items from QVC during the free shipping event!
