Re: DEER Wednesday 10/06/2021

@MamaWick, Want a laugh?  Unfortunately, we rarely see deer in our yard.  Much fewer bears since our town passed a law that people can’t put out bird feeders in the warm weather.  That attracts bears like a magnet, and some of those critters were causing quite a bit of trouble.  Like breaking into homes, destroying fences, wandering parking lots - so wildlife folks had to come and capture and relocate.

Well, it’s been quiet here at our place.  I describe it as “woodsy” suburban.  Lots of trees, and close to two wildlife sanctuaries.  We look outside yesterday and see BrrBear taking a few bites out of one of our pumpkins.  He obviously didn’t like it and left!  Who knew that he was so fussy - bears just are known as “Trashers.”  We must keep rubbish in our garages.

We also have some coyotes and foxes once in a while.  Our kitty, like all others here, must stay indoors.  We have many bird feeders in the cold weather.  Folks here love wildlife, and I have never known anyone to hunt.  Thought you would enjoy a glimpse of some suburban life in Connecticut.  All my best.
