Gentle deer is waiting, resting and then they check with each other, "Is she coming out?"
I have a cardinal family visit me on my patio every day. I thought she looked rather fluffy and later I see 2 little ones-a male and female. They are both so cute, a little hesitant and unsure at first at coming too close but eventually hopped on the bird bath filled with seeds and even shared with each other. Like "here's a good one, try this!" Feeding each other every so often.
Then yesterday, the Wrens that built a nest last year, came again and in the same camp chair they built a nest in one day! They were both going so fast they looked like hummingbirds. They are not large birds. So exciting! It was fascinating to watch. Like something out of National Geographic. They bring so much joy!

Last year I had a possum, a chipmonk. I still see a rabbit or 2 often.
One night, last year, 10 dear walked past! Another night a huge buck very near me. Then a few younger ones another night. A few months ago a mother and her young one further away.
I don't know where they are now. I watch for them and I don't know why they haven't come for so long.
I always long to see them!

@MamaWick Can you see my big smile? Just love how the deer are moving in. Do they want the keys to the car or just inside to check the refrigerator?š¤£
Great pictures of your male and female cardinals. Wehave so many that it's hard to get a good count. The males are out in the morning enjoying the repast and fresh water while the females tend to come out in the late afternoon for food.
We also have lots of blue jays and other birds. All get fed along with the other wildlife that comes to our yard.
Woofs and hugs to adorable Miss Willow White. Is Willow shy today?
Woofs and love to sweet Cricket in heaven. šš

Beautiful photos of MamaWick's deer especially the visitors who make themselves very much at home!!!!! I love the photos of the male and female Carrdinals who are always a pleasure to see outside my window when they appear and I'm sure all of us feel the same joy they bring!
As I have said nature is so amazing and beautiful, her children are gifts to us. Speaking of gifts, Miss Willow is a delight!!!
Also it is always enjoyable to read about everyone's nature experiences.

I love to share the wildlife friends!
Maybe the babies will come the same time as @MamaWick 's fawns start coming.
Last year they had 5 successful baby birds-hatched, wobbled around the patio
and flew! They went back to the nest the first night to sleep.
Sometimes I just can't believe it all!
So wonderful!
And I feel so lucky.
