@MamaWick I love that your deer get their own Dixie plates to eat from! Willow looks to be a great "service dog" holding momma's blanket down, ha. Love all your posts!!!!

LOL, Willow is on the job. She looks like she's ready to start resuscitation if necessary. C'mon, wake up mom. Willow's worried.

Those deer are so precious....what is it about deers' eyes that convey love. It is that same beautiful expression that I see in Wee Willow's eyes as he looks at Mama Wick....such angels.💓

MamaWick, enchanting close ups. The first in shadow, the second in light. Plates on which to dine, members of the family. Such trust shines from those luminous eyes.
Little Willow exuding love and devotion, tenderly watching over you. Just beautiful.

Impressive close ups of nature's children, such gentle faces, innocent and alert enjoying their meals. The Wick Haven, a place which lures these forest friends with trust and kindness, that reflects in the eyes of the deer. It is a special bond.
Princess Willow White looks adorable as she waits for MamaWick to awake. She is very devoted to her mom!!!!

The Buck looks like a little angel. They have that innocent face.those two little angels. Willow loves her mama and is making sure mama is okay --- so sweet. My cat loves to lay on top of my chest. Sometimes it's okay but sometimes after I pet her I have to move her. the weight (7 lbs.) can be too much weight for my breathing problems. But she gets Pet and Pet Massage and she know what both are.

I can't believe these closeups.. such trusting babies.
The bucks are so handsome... Their antlers are so beautiful..
The second picture, the antlers look like they have fuzz on them.
Amazing.
My sweet Willow are you protecting Mom?
I bet she is tired..
Thank you again for these amazing pictures..
Love and Blessings..

That fuzz is actually called velvet. When the antlers begin to re-grow after the spring shed, they are covered in this velvet during the growth period. The velvet is very vascular and feeds the growth. Very soon, the bucks will start scraping their antlers against trees or anything hard to scrape the velvet off. It will get pretty bloody but once the velvet is gone, the antlers are fully grown and very hard. Then next spring, the antlers will be shed and the cycle begins again.
