All creatures, great and small

@MamaWick Wonderful Saturday in the Wick park. All lives are welcomed and fed.
The deer are comfortable and safe relaxing in the green grass while Miss Willow White is safe in her outdoor apartment.
I wonder if the deer think Willow is a tiny deer.
Is that a walking stick? I've never seen one up close and personal. What does it eat? Another miracle from Mother Nature.
Woofs and hugs to the always adorable Miss Willow White. 🥰
Woofs and love to sweet Cricket in heaven. 💕🌈

And yes, that looks like a walking stick! (I couldn't think of the name until you said it @luvzchiz ).
But is that also a little snake on the bottom left?!

Willow and friends together bonding and enjoying the day. Lots of space for all to have fun and eat , the Wick Haven thrives! Outdoors and nature, always a gift to appreciate.

Aww .. leisurely Saturday afternoon. All's well at the Wick Homestead.
I was going to ask about the pic of the nails on the tree, figuring there must be something significant about it.
huh?? "Walking Stick??" "What does it eat??" Sounds like it might be a bug or something?
Off to Google!

There is NO WAY I would have thought that picture of "skinny nails" was a BUG!! NO WAY! Like, where are the innards of the bug?? It's too slender!
I've seen a Praying Mantis, so it's a point of reference for me.

"Is a walking stick bug the same as a praying mantis?
Praying mantises and walking sticks may look similar, but they are not closely related. One difference: mantids are carnivores and walking sticks are herbivores."

What does it mean when you see a walking stick bug?
(AI Overview)
Seeing a walking stick bug can be interpreted in a few ways, both literally and metaphorically.
Literally, it could mean that the bug is a natural part of your environment, or that it's feeding on nearby plants.
Symbolically, some believe it can represent hope, new beginnings, and transformation, or a need for patience and focus"

Well, heck, I could do with some "hope, new beginnings, and transformations" (of the good kind).
Hope it works for me, when merely viewing a picture of these skinny little buggahs! ![]()
