@MamaWick    I just asked Google a question and it appears we may have missed our window of opportunity.  I can't believe not a single doe from "our herd" has given birth.  What's wrong with those bucks?

MamaWick, you take such great photos of the deer, there are a few in this batch which stand out. They truly are nature photos fit for a magazine as I have said before.  We can see how the buck's antlers are growing when they were shedding only a short time ago. It is uplifting to see these gentle creatures in the tall grass, gather in groups, just enjoying their safe haven.

@Kachina624  The birthing period where I am usually ends around the end of June, so I'm not disheartened...yet.  Just because the fawns aren't in my yard doesn't mean they aren't around.  Mamas hide them for a few weeks before bringing them out to their adoring public.
