I just read their son struggled with drug addiction. So sad. He was a funny guy.

nick was very drugg addicted. I think Rob shared the struggle at some point you have to let the kids go when you have helped forever and they keep at it. Not,sure, but I am saddened to the core. I know he had lived in that home forever, and he and Michelle had been married since late 1980's.  He just was so kind.  He and his dad had such a special relationship and he definatley got humor and talent from Carl. This truely disturbs me , a great talent, funny guy and such a giver.  Generous to the bone. He was a year older than me , almost same birthday lol that why I remember. lol. So sorry, Rob and Michelle's.  Peace

People Magazine putting it out there before it's made public by the police.  Very odd

this makes me so sad......i have loved him as an actor, as a director, and as an activist. i follow him daily. from the little i have heard, it sounds horrific.

It is horrific to think their own son stabbed them to death. How sick do you have to be to kill your parents.. May Rob and Michelle rest in peace. What a tragedy. 

Usually, TMZ is the first to break the stories but they only broke the news of their deaths. In the story on People, it seemed he had recovered from drug addiction but maybe not. This was back in 2016.

Nick told People that the chaotic period of addiction including nights and sometimes weeks sleeping outside; later became the basis for the semi-autobiographical film Being Charlie,which he co-wrote. Now, been home for a really long time, and sort of gotten acclimated back to being in L.A. and being around my family," Nick told People at the time.

The news conference was so indicative of what is wrong with Ca.  Geez Louise. 

If ony the coroner can release information why did the Mayor flap her gums.

I also found that press conference frustrating and cryptic, @willowbark .   They indicated more information will be forthcoming tomorrow; perhaps it will be more solid.
