We were watching the storms roll into the area from the midwest but had no idea how nasty it would be.
The wind hit 70 mph, torrential rain and lightning like I had never seen. They have not begun to assess the extensive damage. One person was killed when a tree hit the car.
Over 1 million people are without power. It will be days before everyone is back up. Unfortunately, it is to be 100 degrees tomorrow and not much better for the next few days after that.
I hope all the posters in the area are ok. The next few days here will be brutal.
