I watched the D-Day Remembrance this morning. I was glued to the TV. I was humbled and so moved. Looking at the veterans, brought me to tears. Thinking of what they went through and all the friends they lost that day. Those who died and those who survived, that day, will always be heroes to
me. The speeches that were given to honor these brave men, so well deserved .The End of Watch poem, so bitter sweet. When they played Taps, it broke my heart, remembering the day my father, US Army WWII, was laid to rest. As was said, "Freedom Is Never Free."

Watching the videos, you can't help but cry as they are awarded the Medal of Honor. What must they have been through and seen. Our thanks!Heart

It was very moving and DH was in tears at one point.  I told him that it would be even more moving and special if there weren't any wars since.  But fighting continues.  I don't think it will ever end.

I too was watching it.  Those brave men were just kids at the time and now well into their 90's, lives well lived.  Taps was played at my dad's funeral in April. He was a WWII and Korea Vet. When I heard taps this morning it took me right back and most likely always will. Thank goodness we had these soldiers fighting for our freedom. Thank you for your service!

All Freedoms and Liberties come with a price.  Our soldiers paid that price for us and many in Europe.  I salute them all,.
