QVC, please cut the music when the host starts to speak. I could barely hear Leah this morning at the beginning of the show because the music was louder than her and continued on and on.

I hate this too and it seems to have become a trend for news shows and commercials as well that have loud pounding music with a loud beat. Maybe they think it gives excitement,

or will hold our interest?

It is just so obnoxious and loud and yes hard to hear or concentrate on what the person is saying.

Does anyone in marketing or advertising know why they think this is something that appeals to people?

It makes me mute or turn the channel everytime.I don't understand how anyone can think this will keep anyone listening.

I did mute it so I could write the post. Maybe someone will see this...doubtfully. The theaters are even worse.

lol -  there's no music on the Forums and this has been my main connection to shopping for 2 solid months now, but I have noticed all sorts of music and audio effects on other kinds of channels. That music is more annoying than enticing.

I know.  I love that show on the Reelz channel called The Last Hours Of.  On that show they do the same thing with the background music.  And when they do, I can't hear a word the doctor is saying!  It's so frustrating.  At least stop playing the music while he's speaking!

I was thumbing through YouTube and came across pimple popping  that had the same music as Shaun's intro music. I was laughing my head off. I wonder who stole it from whom.

One of my big dislikes has always been loud music in a restaurant or diner.  Some of it is just a loud thumping and it is almost impossible to hear what your eating companion is saying.  I always request that they turn it down but sometimes they just don't want to.  I can never understand why the manager thinks we don't want to talk to each other.

It is also very noticeable on a lot of tv programs and it is so hard to hear the words.  Why...???

Take care, everybody.
