Curtis Stone "As Is" items on HSN?

I am interested in a few of these items, but I am hesitant to buy cookware that may have been used and returned.

Any thoughts on Curtis Stone's "as is" items?

Does HSN have the same return policy as their regular stock?

Can you sterilize it with boiling water?

Re: Curtis Stone "As Is" items on HSN?

I would expect that the vast majority of the "as is" items have been used & returned.  Curtis Stone items come so well packaged that they would not likely be pulled as "scratch & dent" prior to shipping.  It is always possible that an occational item was returned unused - because someone didn't like the color or some such reason.  I returned an unused Curtis Stone 8" fry pan once because I ordered white and was sent a red one.  When it comes to kitchen items, I always just assume the "as is" items have been used & returned.  I am like you, I do not want used kitchen items.  It doesn't bother many people, but I prefer new.

Thanks for your responses!  I think I'm going to pass on the "as is" items for now.
