It's 64 here right now, BUT we are going to get slammed by that artic blast Herculeeeees on Tues and Wednesday and it's going down into the 30's and 40's. BRRRRR. But it's exciting to get cold weather like that, cozy up and get warm, that's what we do!!

Spoke to a friend earlier(lives near St. Louis) there is a blizzard going on with a 4 foot drift across the front of the house, pressed against the door. It was 8F.

The state of Indiana is under a Red Alert. We are really getting the snow. Have had white outs and have blizzard conditions. Supposed to get to -10 by tomorrow with winds 35-45 miles an hour. Our lights are blinking on and off and I had to turn my computer back on. We do have a generator to keep our heat but it has never set out in these conditions. Only emergency vehicles out on roads. Anything else and you may get fined. I don't remember anything like this since the blizzard of ""78"". I think we will be setting a new record low tomorrow according to the weatherman. They are flashing warnings across bottom of screen on my tv that there may be power outages. So far we have about 13 to 14 inches of snow...it may reach 16"".

I am in South St. Louis County......yes, it is 8 out there, and very windy. Don't have a drift across the front of the building (apartment), but my car is almost buried out on the parking lot. Between the plowing and drifting blown snow, don't know when I will be able to get out. Thank goodness I don't have to go to work any more. There are advantages to being retired.
