By altercations I meant public tantrums. Perhaps I should have said those who live in my community.
People here, I'm sure, disagree but don't make scenes. During elections, no one defaces or destroys opposing candidates yard signs. We wait patiently in line, return grocery carts, at Aldi, some leave their cart without retrieving their quarter. We hold doors, let people with only a couple of items checkout before us, say please and thank you and more.
My community is a small bedroom one with limited shopping choices. Since Rite Aide closed, pharmacies are independent family owned. There are other wonderful small businesses.
It's not perfect, there are drugs like there are everywhere. There's not the diversity, since nearly everyone is white, and I miss hearing accents and people speaking foreign languages. I have to drive to the more populated areas for that.
