Curious about posting etiquette....

I have read this before and just did again on another thread below and it really made me curious to know....

If someone starts a thread is it annoying to you, as the reader to see the OP poster respond to every single post or a majority of them?

EDITED to add: It's not at all annoying to me, I do think it's sweet, just fyi.

Yes. I feel like there needs to be more input from the OP but commenting to all is really not necessary unless you really enjoy it. A heart would do just as well.

I agree with @beckyb1012 as while it's IMO not necessary for OP to respond to every post, I know from past threads that some get all annoyed if OP doesn't come back and respond. IMO who cares if OP doesn't come back and respond in the way some think she should. And also, as much as some get berated here, I don't blame them for not returning to respond.

No need to respond unless a question is asked to get more information. It is nice to say "thank you in advance" to everyone that might respond

No. Posters should be able to answer or not. Up to them and I couldn't care less how often they do or don't.

No, it is not annoying to me if the OP answers all of the posts. What does annoy me is when a poster asks a question but does not give his/her own experience/preference. For example, "What was your most humiliating moment" and they don't share their moment with others.

I agree totally with this. Matters not to me when or if someone responds or how often. In fact, I smh at those who demand a "thank you" for another poster taking the time and effort to respond. Really? It takes me what, all of 2 seconds to respond to someone so they owe me a huge "thanks"?
