A new fast food place in our area is called Culvers. Very excellant. We went for lunch today - each had the crispy chicken sandwich - which had lettuce, tomato pickles and mayo on it, it was really stacked high, plus fries & a drink it was only $7.It was delicious.  We were so full after lunch neither of us wanted dinner - we just split a can of soup. They also have really good ice cream but we were too full today. We will be going back.

The chocolate custard is delicious.  Tomorrow we are eating lunch there, I plan on enjoying the walleye sandwich.

Their "butter burgers" are wonderful too.  Seems to be a well-run business too.  Ours here in this part of Texas has been open about 10-11 years.

Love Culvers. One of the very few places around that actually offer a gluten-free bun for their hamburgers. Dog likes their "pup cups" too.

We love Culver's! Favorites include the cod and walleye sandwiches and the turkey noodle, beef vegetable and stuffed green pepper soups. Sometimes we just have a large soup and then have a single dish of the "flavor of the day" or vanilla custard. The turtle sundae with hot fudge and caramel cashew sundae are both delicious, too. Enjoy!

Favorite "flavor of the day" is Cappuccino Almond Fudge -- so yummy!

Never heard of them.  Glad their food is good.  Maybe some day there'll be one in New Hampshire.

Re: Culvers restaurant

Culvers is my favorite fast food place.  I think the quality is better than other burger places.  We don't eat there often so once in awhile I think it's OK.  I always get a bacon cheeseburger.  DH usually gets a grilled chicken sandwich.  You'll have to try the cheese curds sometime.  Great onion rings too.  If you go in early in the month, you can ask for the Flavor of the Day list and plan to visit when they have one of your favorites - Woman Wink

Culver's started in Sauk City, Wisconsin, and there is one in my city.  I go there occasionally.  The cashew chicken salad with sesame-ginger salad dressing is wonderful.  The shrimp dinner is excellent with very large shrimp.  In addition, Culver's gives senior citizens a discount if you tell them when you order.  Another thing I like about Culver's is you can substitute green beans and/or cole slaw for the french fries if you order a dinner.  Their ice cream is actually fresh frozen custard, made on site several times during the day.  It is a premium fast food restaurant in my opinion.

Yes Culvers opened in Sauk City, WI in 1984. They are all over WI and the Midwest. I have been in many of them. We love all of their food and like to go there when on driving trips. They are clean, fast, and delicious!
