On march 23 I ordered a LC jacket. It has an EDD for tomorrow and is still "in process" - hasn't even shipped yet.QVC really needs some improvement in the S&H area. They should send someone to Amazon to learn how it should be done.

It will probably arrive tomorrow. I think it is their reporting that has gone to the dark side, not the shipping. This past winter I ordered and received an IM turtleneck in a timely manner, but the order status showed it was in process for 30 days after I was wearing it. I agree, something needs to be done.

I agree with Maggie. It's their system. I always get my things in a few days

you might consider posting this in the customer care forum. they may be able to check into this for you. they are quite good about responding to possible problems when you post there.

I often don't get a tracking number until the item is on my doorstep, unless it was sent UPS (rare occurrence though).  I agree with you, the system is flawed and broken.

It would be nice if the information online was updated in a more timely fashion.  I know it will never be perfect, but any improvement over the current mess would be nice.

People pay $99 a year for the "privilige" of free shipping.  All they do is jack up the price of the item to compensate for that.

And I never pay attention to what Q's shipping status says.  Half the time I don't have a tracking number, or it's never up-do-date.  You ordered on the 23rd which means it was probably shipped on the 24th.  Even expecting it tomorrow is very fast since it's only been 3 business days.

The shipping is very fast. I think that it has changed since they opened their warehouse in Ontario,CA. I live in Colardo. The other negative is that their refunds are so slow it is unbelievable. It is like they are holding on to your money like a bank. I had to call to get my refunds because some items they received have been over a week. Also, if you write commments on your return portion, I don't think they read them and just automatically deduct the $6.95 for the return label plus the S&H. I track all my items and make sure they are correctly refunded.

I live on the West Coast and there is never any tracking available until the item hits Portland, Oregon.

I have a couple of returns sitting at the local post office waiting for pick up.

No, they don't, as a general rule. They don't have one price for those paying for shipping at the time, and a separate, special price of the item for those with Prime. The cost of the item is the same for everyone. People generally find that for most items, the Amazon price is lower than or equal to anywhere else. That would not be so if they were jacking the price up for everyone.

In addition, Amazon Prime is *expedited* shipping, not just free shipping. QVC's normal shipping is often 2-3 days before it leaves a warehouse and then 4-5 days more before it arrives. Amazon Prime merchandise usually leaves the warehouse within 24 hrs and is delivered 48 hrs after that. So you can't compare the cost and time of QVC's regular shipping with Prime's expedited shipping.

I look at it as paying in advance for expedited shipping, with no $35-50 minimum order. Of course, there are other benefits that come with Prime that people may or may not use. I use the free videos, and those would be $3-4 a pop if I had to pay for them. The average under $50 order I would make with Amazon usually cost slightly under $10 shipping. Times ten and you've come out even with Prime without the free videos or free e-books, but you've really come out ahead because expedited shipping is double the cost of regular shipping, or more.
