I cannot distinguish a crow from a raven. Sources say our area is home to both. Looking at tail shape is not working. My interest began as the result of this post I saw online.

If you golf you need to know.  A crow will:

1. Steal your blueberry muffin out of the cart, fly off with it and open the package and eat it.

2. Get in your cart and open up your wallet and take a few $20 bills out, fly off and decorate it's nest with them.

And lots more I won't bore you with!  Woman Embarassed

@On It,  perhaps the information and photos in the linked article will help you distinguish which is which.

@Sooner An acquaintance told us that a crow took his golf ball off the green and flew away. We had a crow or raven that would sit on our fireplace chimney and give our bulldog fits. It was as stubborn as she.

@Marp Thank you for the reference. I read it, bookmarked it and then went to the porch. Not a single bird in sight. I will use it when they come to visit again.

I've always thought there were two names for the same bird.

On a cruise in Alasks, I awoke early looked out the window,  we were in a narrow channel, just about 100ft from shore.   There was a young deer playing with a crow.   One would run up to the other, there would be a short chase in circles, then the other would start the chase.  They were having a rare good time.

We were on a smallish boat on a nature-orientated cruise.

WOW!!!  That information about crows is incredible!  I had no idea they're this smart.  My dad will sure be surprised.  It's no wonder they never fall for our various homemade scarecrows lol.😂😃❤️

@On It  Ha. So funny, I just got my Mackenzie Childs "Crowned Crow" delivery this very minute.Woman LOL from Amazon. The crow is so regal and cute just in time for spooky season.

We have lots of real crows here where we live.

Oh my goodness!  We have tons of crows too.  Just a few days ago, I watched and counted almost a dozen flocked to the very top of a tree!
