Crohns Disease and Surgery...

I was diagnosed with Crohns disease last December after years of seeing my regular GP and being told it was an ulcer. Last Christmas I was shopping with my sister and I passed out. I was taken to the ER and had severe pains which we all thought was my appendix until we did a battery of tests and it was determined I had severe Crohns disease. I had taken many medications including steriods and gained almost 30 lbs. At the time I was diagnosed, I weighed 124 lbs and I am 5'10". I started on Humira in Feb. and was feeling much better, almost no stomach pain at all. I started getting sick a lot though, STAPH infections (8 of them) and I had pnuemonia 3 times in 5 months. My immune system was shot from taking the Humira, but it did help my stomach greatly. I probably felt better than I had in 5 years, other than being sick so much. Well, my doctor wanted me to take a break from Humira around 3 months ago, which was the last time I had pnuemonia. Within the last couple of weeks, I started having stomach pains again. I had forgotten how painful they are. It feels like I am being stabbed in my lower stomach. I have lost 12lbs since last Thursday. I went to my GI doctor today and after drinking Barium and several other tests I was told I had a stricture in my ileum. I have a complete blockage and most likely will have to have surgery to correct. Has anyone had any experience with this type of surgery or any type of surgery on their colon?
