Hyacinth, can you tell us 10 good things about Chicago?

My "10 good things" would be:

Willis (formerly Sears) Tower

Buckingham Fountain and the Bean

Portillo hot dogs and Al's Italian beef

Museum of Science and Industry

Shedd Aquarium

Lou Malnatti deep-dish pizza

Second City Comedy Club

Wrigley Field and Soldier Field

The Art Institute

The 'El'

You must be a Cubs fan!

How about US Cellular Field and the White Sox??? I spent a lot of time at old Comiskey Park!!

i don't see detroit ever coming back.

I do! We see improvements all the time. It isn't going to happen overnight, but with combined resources in the area it will happen. The residents of Detroit are fed up and have taken steps to improve the city. The State has taken over management of Belle Isle (an island park) and we can see how it has improved in a matter of weeks. Will it ever be the boom city of days gone past? Probably not, but it will be a welcoming, clean and vital, albeit smaller, city! cheers! chum

So good to read this chumlee. I love residents that believe in positive directions. Go Detroit!

Dyed in the wool Cubs fan. I just believe in the greatness of Chicago past, present, and future. It is the "City of Broad Shoulders".

There must be a number of ex-Chicagoans in AZ. The Portillo hot dog stands are around the various malls.

I do too and it will take time to re evolve. Our big cities have to change with the times and they will but it takes great minds, faithful residents and time to make it happen.

Re: Credit rating downgraded again

I have been to Chicago twice...one time on business and one time when my son graduated from boot camp.

My favorite thing we did (other than the graduation ceremony) was doing the boat tour of all the architecture...beautiful city scenes!
