I live in Nassau County, NY, part of the tri-state area. On my local news ( ABC Eyewitness News Bill Ritter) they did a story on Monday with a bagel store. He gets cream cheese in huge blocks, they make their own delicious flavors. He said they only have enough cream cheese for Tuesday, Wednesday at the most. He said you'll just have to use butter ( any true New Yorker will tell you this won't do). I know this isn't tragic, certain parts of the country don't eat bagels, but for New Yorkers this is a big deal, no Sunday bagels and newspaper I guess.

I live in Westchester County in New York and I cannot get Nabisco Saltine crackers, and the supply of Fancy Feast cat food is extremely limited. I went to 3 supermarkets over the weekend and there was almost nothing left.

There are many other toppings to put on bagels (or eat them plain)
and many other desserts besides cheesecake. If lack of cream cheese is the worst thing that happens to a deli owner in a potentially deadly pandemic that person is doing just fine.

I've noticed at the grocery store, the cream cheese section is very sparse. It's been that way for a while now.
There's plenty of the cream cheese bricks. Stock is almost non-existent on the tubs of cream cheese. I heard there is a serious shortage of the material used to make the tub containers.

I know. I live in the Philadelphia area and I haven't seen cream cheese for several weeks. Especially, the Philadelphia brand.

I live in north NJ and have been seeing cream cheese in stores. Was in Walmart this morning and they had lots of Philly cream cheese 8 Oz. bricks.
I prefer the whipped cream cheese and will buy any brand I can find. Store brands are OK with me and while the shelves are not full, they aren't empty either.

I've looked for the small bricks for many months. Nowhere near me in any brand.

Last time I bought cream cheese here in Georgia they had plenty. What I haven't seen in a long time is Ore-Ida onion rings and now no Ore-Ida products at all. The freezers are still hit and miss with things and the cookie and cracker aisle is going the same way.

In MD, my daughter commented to me over the weekend she could not find her usual Veggie Cream Cheese.
