Re: Crazy question, but..............

My child is working on a doctorate in particle physics. That said, I know nothing. However, I've read that time travels in only 1 direction ... forward. What we call "time travel" will likely not be travel as we know it. The subatomic particles that make up our bodies and other items would be copied/deleted and then duplicated/materialized in the targeted future spacetime. There's also Einstein's theory of Special Relativity that showed how time passes at different rates for people who are moving relative to one another. The closer to the speed of light the greater the difference is. If humankind continues its quest for knowledge, I believe we will have the ability to "travel" spacetime in the future.

I think the only time travel we can take ,is through our memories.

Do you believe in time travel?  I recently saw a series of very interesting/odd photos and videos that TRIED to prove time traveling exists.  I don't believe in it, but the pictures were interesting, to say the least.

I believe theoretically it's possible, but we are no where near figuring it out. If you look at quantum physics/mechanics, the theories suggest the possibility and give pretty good hypotheses, but people haven't come close to unlocking the science. I think there is a plethora of science yet untapped. Even less than 50 years ago no one would have imagined we'd be walking around with computers in our pockets.

Re: Crazy question, but..............

I’ve not witnessed evidence of it, that I’m aware of.

However,  it does not seem at all impossible to me.

Re: Crazy question, but..............

I believe that just about anything is possible.

I also believe that we don't begin to know all there is for us to know, and that we most likely don't use but a small fraction of the brain and senses that we have.

We simply haven't learned to access all that we are able to do, but probably will in time.

Re: Crazy question, but..............

Spacetime has 4 dimensions; 3 in space and 1 being time. Einstein's general theory of relativity included gravity and the "fabric of the cosmos" as it bends & curves with planets and matter. Einstein also stated that we cannot travel faster than the Speed of Light. Minkowski presented the Spacetime Continuum. In quantum theoretical physics, there is a current theory called retrocausality, based origninally on the effect of measurement of particles, that is still under debate. One debatable issue is exotic matter (matter not yet discovered) that could have effects or get in the way. The Speed of Light as a speed limit might also become debatable. I think Theoretical Physicists and Experimental Physicists will continue to study spacetime travel. I think it would be an awesome time to be alive.

What is the definition of "time"?

We have so much technology today that not too long ago we considered it "science fiction".  Namely:  ALEXA

That technology absolutely amazes me.

Another one:  RING   --to be able to hear and see who is on your property when you are miles away also amazes me!

And, remember the song about Santa Claus:  He knows when you are sleeping, he knows when you're awake?  Anyone who uses a CPAP machine -- there are complete strangers on the other end who know when you are sleeping and when you are awake!

A bit creepy when you stop and think about it.
