The scallop shell can represent the feminine. So the shell has been opened and the treasure of the scallops are enjoyed. By Adam. lol

Aphrodite, represented as love, beauty, procreation etc. - floated on the sea in a scallop shell after arising from the foam in the sea.

The Romans, not to be outdone, had their Venus arising out of a scallop shell. Copy cats, those Romans. lol
