Just got back from a vacation and we ate at Cracker Barrel for the first time in many years.

We were not impressed.

I ordered a sirloin with 3 sides. The steak was tough and fatty. The green beans were mushy and oily, and the carrots were mushy. The salad was the cold and fresh, the best part of my meal.

My husband ordered rainbow perch. His fish was pretty good, but his beans and turnips were mushy and oily, and his salad was good.

I felt like we were eating cheap banquet food. Interesting how they made you go through the store to pay. We did not buy anything .

I doubt that we will be back in the future. (this is why we avoid chain type restaurants){#emotions_dlg.mellow}
