Covid Registration Question

[ Edited ]

I've registered for the vaccine and have my appointment, but my husband, who is younger, will probably be able to register on line next week.  People have said he will need a different email address than mine to register?  Is that correct ?

That's a question you'll need to address with whatever entity is adminstering the vaccine in your community. Every state, county and town has it's own protocol. As much as your fellow posters would like to be helpful, there's no way any of us could possibly give you the correct answer.

Yes, I think it's just for notifications re 2nd appointment. He can use a relatives email---- someone

who will give him messages.

Re: Covid Registration Question

I would just set up a free email account for him, just in case, then he's covered.

@FrostyBabe1  you're absolutely correct---- I should have specified NYS.

Re: Covid Registration Question

I have no idea how to answer your question, but I would be happy if I could register. We have no available vaccine in my area of PA. My 94 year ols mother cannot get registered yet, and at 73, with cancer and diabetes, I have been trying to get signed up for both of us. We get messages such as "The vaccine is coming" but our doctors are saying perhaps by early summer we will be able to get scheduled. So, I am trying to practice patience.

Re: Covid Registration Question

In NJ, I was able to use the same e-mail address and phone number for both of us.

We had our appointment for the second dose even before we walked out the door after the first.

Re: Covid Registration Question

@KailaS  I  am so sorry for the aggregation you're going through.  Here in CT it seems to be much better with more vaccine places opening daily.  From what I've heard on TV, there seems to be enough vaccine, but distribution is the problem.  I know that doesn't help your situation.  This blasted pandemic has really done a number on us.  Again, I wish something could be done for you and others in the same situation.

Don't know what is going on in Pennsylvania. We are 1A and we aren't even attempting to get the vaccine yet. Our Doctor's office is giving out the shots but they called us almost 2 weeks ago and said do not call the office. They are going to call us when the vaccine becomes available.

My son is an essential worker, living in PA, and he got his first shot of the vaccine on January 21.

And both sister-in-laws and family (TX and GA)  got their shots and are getting their second shots next week.

Re: Covid Registration Question

I don't know where in PA you are, but try going through your hospital or health bureau. I'm in PA too & anyone over 75 is pretty much guaranteed to get an appointment.  At this point, 65 & up plus high risk are eligible. Anyone in their 90s isn't even a question at least here. They take you no matter what, even as a walk in. I'm in NE PA in total 100% suberbia-so fairly populated. Doctors offices haven't been very helpful-mostly because of lack in being able to properly store the vaccine at the right temperature. I wish you & everyone else luck! My immediate family has our 1st shot & waiting for our already scheduled 2nd shot. We all got Moderna.
