Sorry to hear about your sister I too have lost a friend to Covid and then my sister and niece had gotten it she is still recovering no sense of smell.  Here in California waiting very patiently to be able to get the shot but everything here is already full.  Hubby has Parkinson and his doctor said for him to get it early not 65 as of yet.  so we wait to get the email saying that we can make the appointment and then I'm sure it will be a race to try to get the appointment so we MASK UP and stay HOME

@chrystaltree  so sorry for your loss, I know your pain because I lost my mom last year to covid as I previously posted. May God bless and keep you and your family in your time of grief.

I had my Covid 19 vaccine today, I am happy and grateful today.  I work for a hospital and  yesterday at 3pm, I got the email to go into the hospital at 1pm to get it.  I work remotely and I hate driving into the city but I wasn't giving up the opportunity.  Incredibly well organized, start to finish, it took 35 minutes.  Including the 15 minutes I had to wait after the injection.  I get the second injection on 2/18.  I feel hopeful because  I lost my sister to Covid 2 weeks ago.

So sorry losing your sister, too bad she didnt have the vaccine. I got my second shot this morning, and it was less than an hour, and they came to the car both times and injected me. I feel so much better knowing I  have it, but I rarely leave my house. Drs and dentist, and test are my main go to functions.

Chrystaltree

I am sorry about the loss of your sister to this horrible virus which has taken so many people. Every life lost is a tragedy and I am grateful a vaccine is available .  I am happy you received your vaccine and I will be traveling a bit for mine next week.  I look toward the time when everyone will be safe again and able to move forward.

Edited because someone wasn't happy about using the actual word to describe a person.

I'm so sorry about your sister.

I got my first vaccine yesterday. It took me 20 minutes from my garage to get the vaccine and return to my garage.  I thought there would be a line but there wasn't.

My state is #46 in receiving vaccines so I hope I will be able to get my 2nd shot on time.

However, the head of our state decided big corporations and their employees could jump the line and go first...before the elderly, medical workers, teachers, etc.  She gave thousands of vaccines to just 1 big corporation...one of her biggest donors. She always puts big business over people.  grrrrrrrrrr
