I got in on the last 15 min..of the Peoples Choice Award show the other night...and saw/heard

Machine Gun Kelley singing "Country Roads"/"Lonely Roads "  wow!

Loved his voice singing that song  plus his version" Lonely Roads"   first time ever seeing him perform!

Anyone else see him?

if so

What did you think ?

Love the Highwaymen!  I attended one of their concerts at Nassau Colliseum.  I lived on Long Island then and would guess the early 1990's was when I saw them.

DH and I listened to cassette tapes of the Highwaymen in the car and our son would laugh at us.

Alan Jackson is retiring too. Health issues. Another of my very favorites. One of the reasons I have always loved him is all of the songs he writes. And he was real country. I saw him speak the other day on an award show. His wife was on the stage supporting him and when he spoke he got out of breath easily. I saw him in concert three times. I will miss his talent.

I saw him twice in concert.  Sorry to hear his health is not good:/

@tansy I have talked to folks who say he was not an entertainer in his concerts and that is true. He rarely spoke. He just stood there with his guitar and sang his beautiful songs. That was enough for me. And he is just so stinkin' cute. Smiley Happy

I haven't listened to, or followed, country music in many years but the Highwaymen were one of my favorites back in the day!!
