These guys were amazing. I realize they are the reason I know very little about rock music. Kris Kristofferson's death leaves only Willie.

A friend sent me a link to the video The Highway Men performing HighwayMan - very prolific.

@On It Funny you should post this today, I just posted on FB this morning, a terrific YouTube of them someone sent me yesterday, all doing Bobby McGee live.

I'd put the link here, but I don't think mods allow it.

Google:

"The Highway Men-Me and Bobby McGee" (American Outlaws Live at Nassau Coliseum 1990)

Fantastic. As I said in my FB post today, they don't make 'em like that anymore. 🎸🎶

Loved Kris Kristofferson!

I think of him in that movie with Barbara Streisand!

I think many of us do. Iconic.

I also saw a YouTube of Barbara singing "Evergreen" to him from that movie...don't know if it was a separate recording or straight from the movie. I'm not a huge Babs fan, in general, though I  respect her talent, hers is just not always my style of music...but in that video, her smooth, silky vocals, she makes it look so easy...beautiful rendition of "Evergreen."

Aside from 50s rock music, classic country still my favorite. Besides Willie, I loved Kenny Rogers, George Strait, Randy Travis, Patsy Cline, Vince Gill. Today's country just ain't the same. I have a lot of Willie's music.
