Prepare for each day by spending time in prayer with God. Lord, my faith
in You fills me with confidence as I meet the challenges that today will bring.
Scripture for the day:
"You are dust, and to dust you shall return." ~Genesis 3:19
Meditation for the day:
The joy of true fellowship can be mine in full measure. I can revel in
the joy of real fellowship. There can come back a wonderful joy, if I
share in fellowship now. Fellowship among spiritually-minded people is
the embodiment of God's purpose for this world. To realize this can
bring me a new life-joy. If I share in the joy and travail of others, a
great blessing can be mine. I can truly live a life not of earth, but a
life of joy and oneness starting here and now.
Prayer for the day:
I pray that I may be helped and healed by true spiritual fellowship. I
pray that I may sense God's presence in spiritual fellowship with God's
children.
Hello my friends! In counting my blessings today - there were many birds at the feeders today, saw our cardinal for a bit and his wife, too! Hope they make many little cardinals this summer! To sit out there in the patio/porch, is such a blessing, but I hear that soon, very soon, more snow comes to our area, Poo! Now that I'm getting so excited for Spring, but that, too, shall pass.
Dr. Mike says my arm is still a bit swollen yet, he can't work on it too much yet until the swelling is gone. My adjustment went well, and it's helping. Too soon yet for a massage, he says. Had a nice nap again - had some Iboprofin for the arm, and that put me to sleep! Thought it would be good for the arm, to reduce the swelling.
Was sorry to hear about Annette's passing. I grew up with her on the Mickey Mouse Club! Found out I was 3 years older than she, and we just got our TV (black&white) when I was sixteen, and there she was on - and loved all her movies etc. She sure did suffer a lot. May she now rest in peace.
Praying for you all - thanks for your prayers for us.

Sayings of Mother Teresa
"Dear Jesus, help us to spread Your fragrance everywhere we go.
Flood our souls with Your spirit and life.
Penetrate and possess our whole being, so utterly,
That our lives may only be a radiance of Yours.
Shine through us, and be so in us,
That every soul we come in contact with may feel Your presence in our soul.
Let them look up and see no longer us, but only Jesus!
Stay with us, and then we shall begin to shine as You shine;
So to shine as to be a light to others.
The light O Jesus will be all from You, none of it will be ours;
It will be You, shining on others through us.
Let us thus praise You without preaching, not by words but by our example,
By the catching force, the sympathetic influence of what we do,
The evident fullness of the love our hearts bear to You. Amen."
A Survival Kit for Marriage
Recently someone shared a letter with me that suggested accumulating the following items--a toothpick, a rubber band, a band aid, a pencil, an eraser, stick of chewing gum, a candy kiss. They are to serve as reminders of what it takes to form good relationships. I see them as a "survival kit" for marriage. Perhaps their accompanying scripture passages might serve as a study guide for the married life.
The Toothpick - to remind you to pick out the good qualities in your spouse (Matthew 7:1).
The Rubber Band - to remind you to be flexible. God will work things out. (Roman 8:28).
The Band aid - to remind you to heal your hurt feelings or your spouse's (Colossians 3:12-14).
The Pencil - to remind you to list every day the blessings your spouse brings to you (Ephesians 1:3).
The Eraser - to remind you that everyone makes mistakes -- including you and your spouse (Genesis 50:15-21).
Chewing gum - to remind you to stick with it (Philipians 4:13).
Candy Kiss - to remind you your spouse needs a hug each day (1 John 4:7).
