Today I went to a different Costco. It is about an hour away from the store I usually shop. The Costco I went to today opened 2 months before my local Costco.

The one I went to today has a completely different lay out. And there were many items that were reduced in price. These reductions are not listed in the monthly sale booklet.

Does Costco have different price reductions for different stores? The Costco closest to my house is smaller than any of the different Costcos I have visited recently.

The past 3 Costco's I have recently visited are larger and a different lay out than our local store. But I was surprised at the different prices.

Yes each costco has their own reductions I'm sure based on how items sell, if something isn't selling well they need to reduce the price to clear it out.  I have 6 local costco's and some have better deals than others, usually the less busy stores have the better deals.

I usually shop at the first store built here many years ago. We have about a dozen on my side of the area. A newer one opened about 9 years ago and it has the reversed layout of the other ones. They do clear things out if they aren't selling or if they were shipped too much quantity for a specific item, according to a worker I spoke with there.
The little flower on the price sign indicates it is the last of the item and it won't be reordered. I do find different stores have different markdowns sometimes.  I also like looking on the Costco.com website under the "while supplies last" tab. Just got a beautiful 8-piece kitchen towel set for $9.97 with free shipping. Nice quality.  I may go back and get another set for a friend.

The Costco Business Center here has a few things we use. I went there looking for hand sanitizer and masks last year and was It was mostly office breakroom- type  snacks and custodial supplies. I did find my masks and hand sanitizer though. I haven't shopped there since then.
