Re: 👀 Costco Membership Fee... 👀

[ Edited ]

It wouldn't change my mind about my membership.  We've been executive members since it opened by us.  Between the Costco rebate and the Costco Citibank Visa rebate, we do pretty darn good.  I'd be stupid to call it quits.  I'm there every couple of weeks and DH even stops there for gasoline at times or if I ask him to pick something up on his way home from work.  We're stayin'.

Love Costco and the benefits of the executive membership.

I went in a Sam's Club yesterday -- there's no comparison.

It's still reasonable to me.

Wish we had one in Amarillo. Dang ol' Sam's Club heard they were coming to town (one already in Lubbock, Tx) and bought up the land and put in a 2nd Sam's

As stated, Costco shoppers are loyal.  They will pay an increase.

Costco is one of the least stressful places that I shop at.  The parking lot looks daunting sometimes, but it's always a breeze to shop.  I wait less time in the checkout than the grocery store.

Re: 👀 Costco Membership Fee... 👀

Not all of us are willing to pay increased costs.  My Costco is a small one and doesn't sell gas or some of the other things the big ones sell.  I have an Executive membership and used to break even on the cash back I would get as opposed to having the regular membership.

I may drop back to basic membership if they have another increase.

I am a basic member & will continue to shop there. I only have 1 fridge & just DH & me so some of the huge items is too much for us. We will go there for a cheap lunch, buy clothes & other household items, plus just walking the whole warehouse seems to get us a good workout. I do split some items with DD. There is always something new but remember if you go back sometimes they are sold out. I always have good luck with their plants. Just a fun place to shop especially since we are retired we go when it's not too crowded.
