Costa Rica, anyone?

DH wants us to travel to Costa Rica for spring break this year. Anyone who has traveled there have any hotel, resort, activities, locations they can recommend? We're interested in surfing, scuba diving, rain forest, hiking, wildlife watching, indigenous history/ruins, but we're open to other ideas. We like luxury hotels as opposed to condos. TIA for your responses. We have a 17 y.o. h.s. junior son who will be coming along.
