Sheesh, New York also has a statute of limitations.  This needs to change.

I repeat:  The Golden State Killer raped at least 56 girls and women, some of whom he killed, we will probably find out more, in the 1970s and 1980s -- hank goodness Californians had the sense to do away with the statute of limitations on rape..

No state has a statute of limitations on murder, so even if there was one on rape in CA as far as the Golden State killer's case goes CA would still (and did) be able to pursue him.

I do think he is guilty,  i was shocked when all this came out about him, i was one that looked up to him,thought he was a really good person,loved his show , but we do not know the stars personally, i think he deserves jail ,but doubt it will happen.

When you lose some one you L~O~V~E, that Memory of them, becomes a TREASURE.

I'm aware of that, thanks, but they are trying to work it out so the 45 known rape victims that were not murdered will have their day in court too.  It's important to them,  and I've seen some interviewed and they want it very much and they deserve it.

I have to say one more thing.

Instead of women coming out of the woodwork to speak up about being assaulted by Cosby, a lot of the women were intimidated by his show biz reputation and power.  They knew he could destroy them.

He assaulted a woman in the green room of NBC's   Johnny Carson show.  Louisa Moritz was her name.   She was horrified.  He knew she would not say anything.  She was a minor, minor celebrity.

@Elri

Excellent observations. Assault is about power.

He was just an actor.  Has nothing to do with what kind of person he is.  He was smirking and laughing in court.  Called out profanity about not owning a plane. He is a I Cannot Say here. Yes, I am emotional. And yes I am happy.
