I don't believe that he will ever go to prison, and I personally think that house arrest is appropriate. As someone else posted, the prison system is not the place for someone his age and disabilities. Philadelphia is actively trying to reduce the prison population. I am not even sure if there will be an appeal if he is not sentenced to prison. He is an old man, who committed terrible crimes under the guise of being America's dad. His sentence will be much different than the California killer who was just arrested. Of course, he killed people and Cosby killed people's souls.

Bill Cosby is sexual predator. Monster in every sense of the word. Should be in prison tonight. Survivor myself volunteer helping victims who's lives have been forever changed. He lost his rights! Moment he sexual assaulted another.

Of course every channel has been covering the guilty verdict...but one pundit said Cosby may not see prison time due to his age....I hope they don't let him get away with no punishment at all; prison will probably be the first touch of reality he has had in decades. Wearing an ankle monitor is not enough; in fact, it is nothing at all.

Buh bye. He's despicable. Karma bus is waiting for him. He's already in a jail of his own making.

He should go to jail, not be under house arrest. Those poor women have had to live with what he did all these years, their shame & embarrassment causing them to be silent.
I believe all told the truth when on the stand. This person used drugs as a weapon to get women to be compliant with his sexual assault on them.
That was wrong & the jury ruled properly on these 3 counts.
He sabatoged his own life by his behavior.

He should go to jail - not house arrest

I cried when I heard the news. Tears of joy for justice being served! As I posted months ago, I worked with this man and saw first-hand the way he treated women. I had co-workers who worked more closely and frequently with him than I did, and I saw what happened when they tried to speak up.
He is despicable. He's an entitled and arrogant man who thought he could do whatever he wanted, no matter what impact it had on another human being. And apart from what he did to women, his personality could not be more different than the character he portrayed on The Cosby Show. He's rude, obnoxious, and nasty, verbally abusive to pretty much everyone, both men and women.
His reputation within the entertainnment industry has been pretty awful for a very long time, and with good reason. I am so happy that he was finally told today that what he did was NOT okay. He always thought rules that applied to the rest of the world didn't apply to him. I hope he is held fully accountable.

I hope this is only the beginning...these men just can't get away with what they've been doing to women!!!!
The best news I heard today!!
@sunala Best news I heard today was that one of my patients is finally cancer free!!! Now that's good news. Your news isn't.
Your news is wonderful!
But the Cosby news is pretty good too. I don't fault anyone for saying it's the best news she heard today. And IMO it actually is very good news!

I'm overjoyed that Cosby got what he deserved. Hope he rots in jail. He is a vile human being who masqueraded as "Americas Dad" .... I know many in the African American community who are disgusted with him too. I suspect he will get a plea bargain deal of 5-10 years. He should never see the light of day again. He is a predator.
