Cornea Abrasion?

Does anyone have experience with cornea abrasions? I spent part of the day in urgent care due to my eye hurting, swollen, and feeling like something was in it. Had tests, rinse, dye etc. (I cant read half the eye chart "with" my glasses out of that eye either). And they found a cornea abrasion. (PS I do not wear contacts)

I must see an Opthamolgist Tuesday. If I cannot get one, I must call them back and their eye Dr on call must see me. I am not as bad as I was this morning. This morning my eye was much worse. I have sav to put on till I see the eye Dr.

According to my paper and the Urgent care Dr, this can be serous and even cause loss of sight. This makes me nervous obviously because I dont want to lose my eye sight.

Would appreciate knowing anyones experiences if you or someone you know had this.
