I first heard of this last year or the year before.  Figures, my town is a very small rural farming community and is surrounded by corn fields (and bean fields, etc.).

This was reported on my local CBS station "First Alert 4"  St. Louis. I also looked up "Corn Sweat" online to read more about it. Check it out it's very interesting and you probably saw the post from @4Kitties after my initial post.

I do know that soybeans lose mosture quickly in a hot dry wind and the leaves sort of shrivel and turn more upside down.  So when you drive by and look at them, you see a lot of the silver underside.

That's you $$$$ for next year on their last legs.  It's a bad sight to see.
