What are the guidelines for confributor levels. Meaning by my question what are the point values that allow you to go up a rank?
What seems like long ago I have plenty of "numbers"and all of a sudden everything was erased and I had to start over.
Why do I care? i have no idea but I am just curious and I would love my numbers to be reinstated as a matter of principle.

Happened to me too. Not a big issue. Maybe the powers that be just did a re-set ?

@bonnielu, my numbers have gotten reduced so many times! I have been a part of these boards for many, many years, long before the date mentioned. Back then they did not keep count of your posts or the date you joined or anything. (I'm talking late 90's). It seems every time they reformatted the boards once they did start keeping track, I lost many, many posts. My post number is incredibly low. The only thing it's taught me is that post numbers mean nothing and to just ignore them. I have no idea what it's supposed to mean on here but it means nothing to me.
Sorry, I know this is of no help.

Up in ranks or Down........can you explain ranks? If it was a number system or better yet - A B C D Failed........ I might have a clue but.............a word changes to another word means absolutely nothing to me.
I don't even know what RANK I am..........I'll go look right now!

When you reach a certain contributor level, you get a $100 gift card? 🤔

@fthunt it is listed right under your name. You are an "Esteemed Contributer." I don't know how this is calculated.

@MamaWick @fthunt It's calculated by the number of posts you have. It will go up to the next level after a certain amount of posts. I don't know what the post numbers are but that's all it takes into consideration. Yes, if you were here years earlier you lost posts. If you notice under your picture everyone has the same start date 2010. That's if you started before then. I started in the nineties and it shows 2010.

Here's my post from a previous thread on the topic of "contributor ranks / titles":
QVC uses a pre-programmed web hosting package supplied and managed by Khoros (merged companies Lithium Technologies and Spredfast).
They use it on many of their website forums.
The contributor "ranking" system is an automagic internal software algorithm that appears to differ from one website to another, but in general it's not determined by only one factor.
You'll occasionally see that 2 posters might have the identical number of posts
but they have different "contributor titles."
That's because, for the most part, the software uses a
combination of such things as
number of posts, login activity, posts viewed, hearts,
registration date, etc.
I've seen no specific explanation from the developers for the automatic assignments on the Q Community -- to me the system is pointless, confusing, relatively meaningless, and I'm surprised they don't suppress the display since it doesn't really tell us anything and it merely raises unanswered questions.
We had a long discussion about this in a "Customer Care" thread almost a year ago that illustrates some of the variations (I had far too much time on my hands 😜🙃😉 and looked into it to see what I could figure out).
Here's the link to the discussion -- including details about the various post numbers associated with different contributor "titles" -- if you're interested.
Basically, this is the list of designations we seem to see here on the Q:

Frequent Visitor

@bonnieluMany of us lost our post counts and sign up dates during one of the upgrades-I think the last one.
My sign-up date is actually 2007.

I have no clue what my level is but I will see it after this post.
