I never had dealings with a consignment shop before
I had a ton of Max's clothes from last summer that he obviously grew out of. They are infants and in great shape. I also have some of my clothes that I wanted to consign.
I called a nearby shop. They only take clothing by appointments and wanted to make one for saturday. Coudn't because I have a hair appt at same time. She suggested may 18 (cant remember date) a wednesday. I said I work until 5...sorry cant do that.
she then told me I pay them 12.00 to accept clothing and they keep for 60 days. If they sell I get 40 percent, they get 60. If it doesnt sell they keep.
wonder who makes out in this deal
I told her to forget it, I will sell at my yard sell this spring. They wonder why small businesses can't make a go of it. HMMM
