I tried a new consignment store today.. "Clothes Mentor". I heard about this from a sales person in Platos Closet, which is a similar set up for younger females. This store will open sometime in October , and right now they are only "buying" inventory to fill up the store. They will take only brand name items , that are gently used. I had many items from Talbots, which is on the list. Of the four shopping bags that I brought in , they only accepted about 1/4 of the items as although they were in beautiful condition.. Their words.. Many were over the two year age limit. They apparently can determine this by the tag on the item. However I guess there is no age restriction on handbags and shoes, all of which were 5 years old. I guess I always thought Talbots had "Classic" clothing. They did buy the handbag and shoes. On the positive side, the employees were very nice and helpful. The store is huge and I will bring some B Mak bags next weekend, as they are on the list. Probably not bring any more clothing items. I will go back when the store opens to see what type of clothing passed the test. Has Antony had any experience with this store? Thanks and Happy Sunday.
