Connections Puzzle (May 6)

[ Edited ]

Just wondered what everyone thought of today's puzzle.  When I first looked at it I was confuzed.  Once I figured one out, the rest got a little easier.  Still had to force my mind to slow down and think a little differently for this one.

@Kalli  well, it was different!   I got it , missing two tries. Usually I ace it or miss one. Did you figure it out?  It was groups of things tht go together.  I woukd have never guess the last set.  But I got all three right, so there were 4 left to match, lol. No choices.  Good thing I got other 3 sets.mmif you need hints, let me know.  They have done this before, not often. Thank God!

Re: Connections Puzzle (May 6)

@shoekitty  I solved it but got first guess wrong. I would never have guessed the last one but like you, I did get 3.

Sometimes I'm not successful but I love the challenge. 😊 My brother plays too so it's fun to compare notes once we've both completed the puzzles.

I play Wordle and Spelling Bee too but I don't have a subscription for the others.

Re: Connections Puzzle (May 6)

I have a lot of difficulty with those puzzles.  I'm happy when I get one connection.  Didn't even try to solve this one.

Give me Wordle, Letter Boxed, Spelling Bee and the crosswords in the NY Times and I'm a whiz!!!

I won't do it when they do this. I find it hard enough with the actual words. I don't need more stress in my life. Hats off to those of you that figure it out. I don't have the patience!

I liked it.

It was a nice surprise to see something different and more challenging.

I got the first one right about ways to fasten clothes. After that, the rest were easy.

Re: Connections Puzzle (May 6)

I spent much more time on it than I usually do.  I couldn't figure out my last two...one was about flags and I forget the other one.  There was another similar puzzle several months ago that at first glance didn't think I would ever figure out but, in the end, I thought it was much easier than this one.

Re: Connections Puzzle (May 6)

I confess I had to cheat on the whole thing. I didn't get any of them because I didn't know what some of the drawings were supposed to be.  Turns out I was correct in my thinking of a couple categories,  but could not find what the fourth thing would be.  Oh well. I do 11 puzzles/games in the morning.  Can't always win 'em all.

I made two mistakes, but finished it. It was kind of fun, but I prefer words.
