Their 2nd Superbowl. They lost to my Steelers in 2006.

No it's not. They played in Super Bowl 40 and lost due to bad officiating; the judge who blew the calls admitted his mistakes later and apologized.

Yes, well, so much for the year of the horse, it seems... Pete Carroll deserved it and I'd guess now can pretty much write his own ticket. That live Seahawk mascot is beautiful! It was a long time coming for Seattle and I, for one, am happy for them, just as I was for New Orleans when they finally won one after years of relative humiliation. Terrible game though, glad I didn't watch.

I'm happy they won and they deserved it. I'm also happy because I live in the Bay Area and I am not a Forty Niner fan and I hope this shuts them up knowing that the better team - being Seattle won!
