It has been very dry here too these past 6-8 months in eastern NE. Yesterday I got excited because we got .14 inches. I hope we don't wind up in another drought like it was here in 2012...what a nightmare!

worse thing I hate about Tx. I mop once a week you can still feel the floors aren't spotless if you walk bare footed all the time. Never get used to that

This one gal I talk to says she only mops once a month ! I thought Gees, hun, you must have to use a back hoe to get up the dirt before you can mop. Wouldn't hurt to mop twice a week. I even have grass all around my house thanks to a sprinkler, but, the dirt is in the air and settles on your furniture, surfaces, etc.

The rain usually passes us by over here in Paradise Hills (Albuquerque, Westside), but it didn't yesterday afternoon.

Now THAT was a monsoon!

Even though we have a leaky skylight and a hole in the roof and we can't keep up on the weeds and rogue growth this summer, I'd be happy to have another storm like that.

The state needs the water.
