Musicians James Taylor, Eric Church, Luke Combs, and Billy Strings will headline a concert to benefit victims of Hurricane Helene.  It will be held on October 26, 2024 at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, NC.  Hope the weather cooperates and that it is a sellout.  Also hope it will be televised.  May it be only the first of benefit performances for those struggling to get back to a safe and normal existence.

They should just donate, we don't need these musicians playing music so people buy tickets or albums so they look like the heroes.

You may be happy to hear that Taylor Swift has donated 5 million dollars to Feeding America.

@deepwaterdotter - No, I'm sure someone will make a cynical remark about how much money she has and how she likely won't miss it.  (See the thread about Dolly Parton, if it hasn't been poofed.)

Or she's just doing it to appear to be a heroine.

Also, some posters just love to stir the pot, so they can sit back and watch others try to refute their statements.

Waste of time, especially in cases of such disasters, where real peoples' lives are being so badly affected.

It is good to see fundraisers for the people who desperately need all the help they can get.

@willomenia - You have given a generous gift that will be much appreciated by those who have had their lives turned upside down.
