From BBC news:

Four Russian cruise missiles fired at Syria from the Caspian Sea landed in Iran, unnamed US officials say.

It was unclear whether the missiles caused any damage, they said.

Russia's defence ministry has declined to comment. On Wednesday, Russia said it had launched 26 cruise missiles at targets in north and north-west Syria.

The news came as Nato renewed assurances to defend its allies in view of the "escalation of Russian military activities" in Syria.

Nato is boosting its response forces to be able to deploy troops speedily.

Moscow denies Western accusations that it has mainly targeted opponents of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, insisting its strikes have hit the infrastructure of the so-called Islamic State (IS) and other militant groups.

Everyone with a heart and compassion is worried about Syria, as well as all of the other problematic situations in our world.

But I think posting the obvious news we can gather from various sources should not be posted on this particular forum . Basically it can be considered political, and because the QVC forum is often misused for what I believe to be it's original purpose.

We should be discussing QVC products and anything pertaining to the conglomerate. But I don't feel that it has ever been intended to be a Facebook-like page, a newspaper editorial, or anything to cause discussions that are political or otherwise.

So I believe this is why why there are certain things in their rules and standards that we can not do without our threads possibly getting deleted.

I also wish the moderators would be much more efficient in maintaining these rules and deleting these posts.

Go elsewhere for this type of communication. Let's keep QVC light, fun, and inspiring. If I want serious discourse, I will look elsewhere myself. I don't want to come her and get dragged down by other people's comments and personal opinions.

I assume you are posting this on every single thread that does not pertain to your own agenda.

I was listening very early this morning to a panel of government and military people discussing the Russian presence in the Mid East. The intelligence report confirmed that Russia has not gone after any ISIS stronghold. They chose to hit areas where ISIS isn't even present, but anti government rebels are. This would confirm Russia is showing their support of the Assad government.  This panel also said that Russia is trying to show their strength to the world and particularly the U.S., but that economically they cannot sustain this for any considerable length of time. They can't afford it.

I am sorry that you fell offended by my posting @redhead65, but it does go with the topic that is being discussed here.

And yet, you are posting here. If you object so much to it, why not ignore the thread and let moderators do their job if they consider this verboten?

Too bad we couldn't see fit to support some of what they were trying to do in Afghanistan. That bled them dry and killed many Russians with little progress toward a goal.  We got involved in it and chose the wrong side by arming and financing the Mujahideen, paving the way for the Taliban atrocities years later. Perhaps we should have joined forces with the Russians then. They must be sitting back and laughing now at us in Afghanistan after all these years and still not much has changed. Talk about quagmires. You'd think the Russians would know better than to get into another battle in the Mid East. No matter what is done, the desert fighters just keep coming at you with a vengeance.

Your post is important news.

It's also not political.  A world threat is not politics.  How someone handles it could be, but there's a difference.
