There has been plenty of joking about the Ebola situation on the boards, people making fun about sneezing on each other, putting up cartoons, etc., and not many posters complained about it (other than me). Some of them didn't like what I had to say. It will be interesting to see the reactions to someone in the media doing the same thing. I do know that people sometimes use humor as a coping mechanism, but I just don't think this subject is one to be treated that way. JMHO

There is nothing funny about ebola itself. There is a lot that's funny about media hysteria, 24/7 coverage and pseudo-analysis. A little wry humor can help get us through really scary times.

I am not in favor of the monologues of the late night hosts recently about ebola. Nothing funny about it in my opinion. I am surprised that a few of them went there frankly.

I'm alllll about Dark Comedy, so I viewed this w/ high expectations. Instead of inappropriate, it's just...not funny. The bit ran for 4:30 minutes....when it would've been great @ the 1:00 min mark when the box came down. 3 minutes waaaay too long....which is the bain of many-a Saturday Night Live skits, as well. Keep it short. Keep 'em wanting more. Keep it like SNL circa 1978. Too many shows have to fill time & ends up...just not funny. #fail #NoImagination

That was funny. I was disgusted this morning when the TV news person questioned whether the quarantine time that has ended for some people. ""But is it enough?"" Ridiculous.
