Compromised E-Mail Addresses

Couple weeks ago, the news was that e-mail addresses have been stolen but I haven't received anything contrary to the normal spam I get.....I was just thinking, what did these people do with all these addresses??? I'm thinking, I would just sit with them for awhile, let the news calm down and then BAM! Let's not allow our guard down.

Am I just being too paranoid?
